Week 1 of Term 1 - 2020

This year I am now in room 10. My teacher's name is Mr. Nath. I am now a Year 6.

I am very happy to be in room 10 because I get to be best friends with new people.

My goals for this year are to improve my reading, math, and writing. I would like become good at PE and sports.

In future, I would like to become a teacher so that I can help my students achieve their goals in learning and get good grades.

Treasure Hunt

This week was book week .There was a play performed in our school hall on Tuesday .

The play was about the treasurer hunt that has been written by Craig Christie.

There were two tribes blamed each other for stealing each other song .the tree land tribe was led by
George and sea view tribe was led by Jessica. These two characters teamed up to solve
the problem
about the lost treasure that was their song .

The problem was solved when they were able to put the torn map together and work out how to
get to the treasure .They had to read three different books to solve the problem.

I really enjoyed this play because both the characters were very smart and talented .
They sang very well and were also very hilarious.

Thank you Sam and Lydia for coming to our school.I hope to see u again next year.Image result for treasure hunt by craig christie

Duffy Role Model Assembly

Yesterday, Glenbrea school had its Duffy Role Model Assembly. Our Role model was Sam James Verlinden. He is also known as Sam V.  Sam V is famous as a musician, song writer, singer and actor.

Sam spoke to us about the importance of books and reading because he felt that these were the things which helped him become a successful musician.

Sam studied at the Auckland University of Technology and obtained a Bachelors degree in Communication. We had a lot of fun with  Sam

I felt so happy when Sam sang his favourite song “What have you done to me”
